Bungee Connect- (click for detail)

Description:
It seems web development is taking the same path being created by Web 2.0 web development - web based collaborative IDE environment! BungeeConnect is not the first going down this path and I'm assuming 2008 will be the year for a valid, acceptable Web 2.0 development environment to take a firm hold. There are current OpenSource sites that use discussion groups, issue management, etc. that greatly enhance distributed developer interaction, but not a true Web 2.0 IDE.....

CakePHP- (click for detail)

Description:
Doing some serious PHP development, don't leave home without a framework - CakePHP is my choice. Learn all about MVC (model + view + control), scaffolding and framework use. Also ties in with Drupal via Drake....all confusing when you first get into it, but very very powerful.

Drupal - CMS- (click for detail)

Description:
If you're looking for a content management tool, this is the one I would recommend, the one this site is developed with. There are others, but for depth, stability and approach - there's no better.

Description:
If you have a web site you want to track how it's being used and by who. Nothing is better or free'er then Google Analytics (aka urchin).

Joomla - CMS- (click for detail)

Description:
Another solid CMS tool. I installed and used it for a bit. I'm sure there's good and bad for both Joomla and Drupal, but for the avg. web site builder either would work.

No sense redoing what's been done well - here's a link to a comparison of 10 PHP Frameworks. Dennis Pallett did a great job.
